Places To Run

There is a strong running community in the Fort Worth Area. Many organizations and groups offer a variety of running resources. This page is dedicated to those resources. This is by no means the ultimate resource, but we've tried to include local opportunities to club members, local area runners and the occasional visitor to the DFW area.

If you are a group or organization that would like to offer information to potential area runners and visitors, let us know by writing to info@fwrunners.org.
Please address any questions or concerns to the club at the same e-mail address.

The new location at Montgomery Plaza has two new routes for Tuesday and Thursday. Maps are coming soon, but both are 6 miles.
Tuesday's course is relatively flat, an out and back throught Trinity park with a turnaround by the Colonial Country Club. Thursday's course is a bit more challenging with hills along the Monticello area, looping back to the store.

From their website: "We're a fun loving club that's dedicated to wellness, camaraderie, recreational and competitive running. We get together for training runs, volunteering and sometimes even social events! Our club has members who are experienced runners and have years of training under their belts, they participate in races from the Mile to the Marathon, as well as Ultras, Triathlons, Cross Country and Track."
"As a grass roots active club our purpose is to create a place for runners to train and share their knowledge with each other, the opportunity to volunteer and help out, and to promote and build up the running community. But most importantly our club's primary objective is to motivate and encourage one another and train together so no one has to run alone."
